DNA color genetics: We have tested Keegan for cream, he carries a single cream gene, and for red/black, he carries a single red and a single black.
Keegan is now a 2 year old, and he is looking better than ever. Ground training is still going well. He is learning skills needed for showmanship, trail in hand, and driving. He is a bit more sensitive than the average Gypsy, but many enjoy a horse that will move out at the first command and still be willing to stand still when asked.

At almost 2 years old, Keegan stands a solid 14hh and is high at the hip. We expect him to mature at about 14.2hh. Keegan has begun the next stage of ground work, including ground driving and additional showmanship skills. He is proving to be as easy and fun to work with as his sire.

Keegan and his full sister, Lily, represented the Gypsy Vanners and our farm at Ohio's Equine Affaire. Below are some photos of the event.

Below is Keegan at 22 months old. He possesses great body mass, hair, and has a wonderful temperament. He is now standing a solid 14hh.

The following photos show Keegan at 17 months old and standing a solid 13.3. He continues to be wonderful to be around, tractable and kind. He occasionally is pastured (only with direct supervision) with his sire, Keegan, and they get along wonderfully, often eating out of the same flake of hay. While he is still intact, he would make an outstanding gelding. He is the complete package, show horse potential with pleasure horse temperament.

Keegan shown below at 15 months old. He measures 13.1 and a half currently and is a joy to handle. He has shown that his temperament is suitable to remain a stallion, but he would certainly make a safe and sane working gelding.

Keegan is an amazing likeness of his dam, Cinder. The following photos show Keegan on the left and Cinder on the right. When the photos were taken, Keegan was almost 1 and Cinder was almost 2 years old.

Cinder foaled in the early hours of May 27, 2009. Keegan, meaning little flame, is a beautiful colt with a bright future. We are extremely happy with this first foal by our stallion, Killian's Irish. Keegan sees to have gotten the best from each of his parents. He is conformationally correct, has a gorgeous head, plenty of hair, and a very eager-to-learn temperament.
We believe Keegan is going to be a colt with some size, topping out at 12.3hh at 8 months old. It is safe to estimate his mature height at 14.1hh, but we are thinking he might outgrow that as well.

Keegan has become such an easy colt to be around. He visits you in the pature and is willing to follow you around. He has typical Gypsy temperament, quiet to handle, but also possesses impulsion and athleticism that would suprise you. This is a very stout colt with proper movement.
Below is a collection of photos of Keegan. Enjoy.
